THE PROJECT
CSEVENM - flounder bunny applique cushion
Many years ago when my friends started having babies, I wanted to give them a special gift to cherish, a little handmade something that would be around long enough to tell a tale. The first little cushion I made was so popular her little girl wouldn't sleep without it. Obviously, she is far to grown up now to care about a kids cushion, but just like baby's first teddy my first hand made cushion still takes pride of place on the shelf in her old play room.
the cushion photographed was purchased with a special request to personalise the cover with baby's name.
Flounder the bunny was one of the last characters I developed in the nursery collection. Originally conceived as an Easter gift flounder the bunny turned out to be very popular and I have added this character to other nursery products through the years from quilts to garlands (I particularly like the garlands, as they make great decorations for the annual family Easter egg hunt, in grans back garden).
